Abstract
Objetive: Present a rare and unsuspected neoplastic disease, so that their finding most often is incidental. Method: Description and updated of this rare entity, literature
review. Results: After initial clinical examination of an asymptomatic 45 year old male, who is in preoperative for umbilical hernia, imaging studies reveal a space-occupying lesion of 107 x 64 mm of solid appearance in epigastrium zone. At surgery is a tumor in infragastric region, very soft, purplish whose imnunohistochemistry
analysis reported epithelioid schwannoma. Conclusion: The preoperative diagnosis of tumors derived from Schwann cells at any of their locations it´s often problematic
unless the physician to keep in mind a high index of suspicion, although most are benign and surgical removal is ideally, they can go back.
