Vaginal vault suspension by Dr. Alfredo Halabi’s surgical procedure

Abstract

Objectives: The goal of this report is to spread the outcomes
of vaginal vault suspension with the surgical procedure of Dr. A.
Halabi performed at “Policlínica Metropolitana de Caracas” and
Hospital “Luis Salazar Domínguez” IVSS, Guarenas
Patients and methods: The current study was performed on
45 patients aged among 43 and 78 years old with vaginal
vault prolapse. Women were treated with the surgical procedure
of Dr. A. Halabi.
Results: The results have been satisfactories of the patients,
which is 45 women, and so far there is no recurrence of vaginal
vault prolapse.
Conclusions: We can conclude that suspension of vaginal
vault with Dr. A Halabí technique, is an efficient and safe option
for surgery on patients with vaginal vault prolapse. This alternative
is a simple procedure for handling patients with this pathology.
