Abstract

Background:
The pseudopapilar pancreatic cyst are infrequent tumors, with low malignant grade. Pancreatic preserving surgery is a good alternative
treatment for those tumors. Methods: Clinic presentation, female, 21 years old, how complaints for abdominal pain and early satiety. On fisical examination there is no positive sings. Radiological studies show a tumoral lesion on pancreatic head and neck, it was performed a FBA reporting as a pseudopapilar cyst without atypias. She was treatment with central pancreatectomy without reconstruction. On post-operative
presented pancreatic fistula grade A wich cure with medical treatment. She has 24 moths of follow up with normal pancreatic function and no evidence of recurrence. Conclusion: Pancreatic preserving surgery it is a good alternative for these types of tumors. The re-construction of the drainage of pancreas stump has to be evaluated on comparative studies to support these procedures.
