Abstract

This article analyses the different aspects related to prevention measures, applicable to patient preparedness and surgical environment, in order to reduce the incidence of operating infections. All
environmental and functional factors are described, which will help
us to shield surgical areas and sterilization plants, to offer quality
surgical care, following standards and procedures recommended
by international organizations such as WHO.
